Must have a recognized chef qualification and an excellent food portfolio
Minimum of three years experience as a chef
Excellent knowledge of taste and flavor combinations and pastries
Skilled in visual presentation with an eye for detail
Must be up to date with global food trends
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in Afrikaans and English both written and spoken
Must have own transport and live locally
Must be skilled in mentoring, developing, and managing staff to prepare new, original dishes daily according to the availability of fresh produce from the garden
Stock management skills, price calculation, and purchasing ability are a must
Must be able to maintain safety and hygiene standards at all times to the highest level
