Job summary

Frogg Recruitment SA is seeking a Junior Compliance Officer in Johannesburg to analyze regulatory compliance risks and support risk mitigation across departments. You will track updates to FICA, POPIA, FAIS, and the Companies Act, while applying advanced Excel and compliance-tracking practices.

The role focuses on monitoring controls, data analysis, and documentation to ensure governance standards are met and the organization remains audit-ready across regulatory environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or related commercial field.
• 2-3 years regulatory compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of SA regulatory frameworks (FICA, POPIA, FAIS, Companies Act).
• Proficiency with compliance tracking methodologies and risk management systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, reporting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory Monitoring and Assessment – identify compliance risks via data auditing and legislative tracking.
• Assess impact of evolving laws and governance standards on activities.
• Develop and implement tailored compliance controls to mitigate risk.
• Monitor effectiveness of policies and update procedures as needed.
• Analyze transactions and datasets to detect variances and risks.
• Use risk metrics and reporting to quantify regulatory exposure.
• Prepare detailed compliance assessment reports and dashboards for management.
• Maintain audit-ready records of risk interventions and training.
