We believe in making insurance simple, transparent, and accessible to all. As we continue to grow, we are currently seeking Junior Claims Agent to join our dynamic and growing organization.

Position Overview:

The Junior Claims Consultant at Pineapple Tech (Pty) Ltd provides flexible operational support across the motor claims lifecycle, with a strong emphasis on enhancing the customer journey and improving claims flow. The role supports senior claims agents by assisting with key process stages and admin tasks; from claim registration and basic validations, to client engagement, service provider follow-ups, and after-claims experience management. The role is designed to strengthen overall claims efficiency, drive service quality, and serve as a development pathway into future senior claims roles.

Key Objectives and Responsibilities:

General duties and responsibilities of a Junior Claims Agent at Pineapple include but not limited to :

• Assist with claim registration and initial case set-up when required.
• Perform basic validations to support the senior claims process (e.g. previous insurer checks, TransUnion pulls, basic doc checks and ensuring of administration diligence throughout the claims life cycle).
• Manage client engagement post-registration and post-authorisation: provide updates, handle queries, manage expectations.
• Conduct follow-ups with service providers to ensure smooth progress and service delivery.
• Handle defective workmanship queries and post-repair complaints, coordinating resolution.
• Support ticket management and reduce pending volumes by assisting with after-claims activities.
• Maintain accurate records of all interactions and progress updates.
• Participate in training and development for future progression.
• Flexibly support other departmental needs as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Matric
• FAIS Qualification (NQF), Class of Business, RE5 will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in claims, client service, or insurance, preferably within the insurance or fintech industry
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
• A genuine passion for customer satisfaction and a problem-solving mindset
