Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D or similar software is highly desirable.
• Basic understanding of civil engineering principles, especially road design and drainage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
• Good organizational and communication skills for teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify detailed engineering drawings, plans and schematics for roadworks and drainage using CAD software.
• Assist senior engineers in developing design concepts and layout plans.
• Ensure drawings comply with drafting standards, project specs and SANS.
• Create and maintain drawing registers and revision control.
• Plot and distribute drawings to relevant parties as required.
• Conduct basic calculations and checks as directed by engineers.
• Support preparation of tender and construction documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and support design department workflow.
• Update and manage digital drawing files and databases.
• Learn and apply new drafting techniques and tools as required.

You will work closely with experienced engineers and designers, assisting in the creation of detailed technical drawings and plans. The position involves a hybrid work model, combining essential office‑based collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and modify detailed engineering drawings, plans, and schematics for roadworks, drainage systems, and related infrastructure using CAD software.
