Placements24 is seeking a Civil Design Drafter to produce accurate construction drawings for municipal water, sewer, roads and stormwater in George, Western Cape. You will translate design concepts into precise documentation in collaboration with Civil Engineers and Project Managers.

The role requires AutoCAD/Civil 3D proficiency, 3+ years of drafting experience, and familiarity with South African municipal standards.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Draughting.
• 3+ years as Civil Design Drafter, municipal projects preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D essential.
• Solid civil engineering drafting knowledge for water, sewer, roads, stormwater.
• Familiarity with SA municipal standards and drafting conventions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed drawings for municipal infra projects using CAD software.
• Assist engineers in design development with drafting output.
• Ensure drawings meet municipal standards and codes.
• Create/update drawing registers, title blocks, and docs.
• Coordinate with engineers/project managers on revisions.
• Produce site plans and presentation drawings as needed.
• Handle basic drafting calculations as directed by engineers.

Key Responsibilities
