JOB TITLE : Junior Business Development Manager

DEPARTMENT : Commercial and Industrial

REPORTING TO : Regional Sale Director

LOCATION : Bedfordview

ADDITIONAL INFO

Must have own reliable transport and driver’s licence. Will be required to travel. Exposure to mining, oil companies, commercial road transport company sales will be advantageous.

PURPOSE OF POSITION

To assist the C&I business unit, grow its market share within commercial companies through strategic initiatives that will result in revenue growth.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive revenue growth aligned to the commercial strategy.
  • Drive strategic initiatives that will help achieve business objectives.
  • Accurately capture all funnel and sales activities on Salesforce.
  • Be accountable for stakeholder management and become the single point of contact for own portfolio.
  • Compile product preparations and solution proposals to expose mining, oil companies to full GVR product basket.
  • Leverage off global contracts and have a 360 view of all account activities globally to inform business of any key developments.
  • Sales administration and reporting.
  • Market research and keeping up with industry developments.
  • Follow-up on accounts receivable.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education / achievements

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering / Sales and Marketing, technical or related.

Experience / Knowledge

  • At least 5 years proven track record in consultative selling environment and exposure to solution sales.
  • Extensive solution sales experience preferably in the commercial sector.

  • Above average interpersonal, communication and closing skills.
  • Consistent top performer in sales and excellent interpersonal skills.
