We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Junior Business Development Manager in Gauteng to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and driving the sales process from prospecting through contract execution.
You will work closely with sales, marketing, and project teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients and foster long-term business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and Research Potential Clients: Conduct market research to identify potential clients across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Use data to target clients who would benefit from Wetility's solar financing solutions. Stay informed about market trends, energy policies, and emerging technologies.
- Develop and Maintain Client Relationships: Build long-term relationships by understanding client needs and tailoring solutions. Engage with existing clients for upselling opportunities.
- Coordinate with Sales Teams: Collaborate with sales, technical, and finance teams to create customized solar solutions. Negotiate contract terms and ensure alignment with company standards.
- Monitor Project Execution: Oversee project implementation, working with engineers and installation teams to meet timelines and budgets. Address client concerns promptly.
- Gather Market Data: Collect and analyze customer feedback, industry developments, and competitor offerings to inform strategy.
- Make Presentations: Develop and deliver presentations to showcase solutions, energy savings, and environmental benefits.
- Manage Sales Pipeline: Identify and prioritize prospects, maintain CRM records, and ensure effective follow-up.
- Build Strategic Partnerships: Develop relationships with industry stakeholders and negotiate partnership opportunities.
- Track Proposal Progress: Monitor proposal components and update stakeholders regularly.
- Conduct Market Research: Regularly research industry trends to maintain competitive edge.
- Drive Sales Process: Manage from prospecting to closing, ensuring a seamless experience.

Requirements
- Matric and relevant qualification.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in business development or sales, preferably in renewable energy, solar, or fintech sectors.
- Strong understanding of solar technologies, financing, and regulations.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
