Job description

We are seeking a young, dynamic, and driven individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper and Admin Assistant in North Riding, Gauteng. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has recently completed their studies or has around 2 years of experience in an administrative role. You will be responsible for administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the office.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable administration.
  • Assisting in Capture accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software (experience with Pastel or similar is a plus).
  • Ensure all financial transactions are captured and recorded correctly and promptly.

Administrative Support :

  • Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, managing office supplies, and organizing documents.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage communication with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events as needed.
  • Office Coordination :
  • Assist with office tasks to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Coordinate with other departments and ensure efficient communication and operation.
  • Provide support as needed.

Minimum Requirements :

Education :

  • Matric (Grade 12) is required.
  • A relevant qualification in accounting or bookkeeping (e.g., Certificate in Bookkeeping) is an advantage, but not essential.

Experience :

  • Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience (preferably in a financial or office setting).
  • Knowledge or experience with bookkeeping and accounting software (e.g., Pastel, QuickBooks) is highly desirable but not a requirement

Skills :

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
