Competenze

• 5 years of bookkeeping experience with strong financial understanding.
• High competency in English, both verbal and written.
• 5 years of bookkeeping experience with strong financial acumen.
• Experience in a similar position is advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and VAT.
• Understanding of e-filing.
• Working knowledge of Pastel Evolution.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Pastel is essential.

About the job: Junior Bookkeeper

Responsibilities:

1. Manage books for 2 companies and 2 trusts.
2. Experience in management accounts.
3. Process monthly payroll.
4. Prepare and submit PAYE returns.
5. Prepare and submit VAT returns.
6. Complete tax returns.
7. Maintain regular communication with clients (via telephone and email).
8. Prepare annual financial statements and working paper files.
9. Utilize Pastel Payroll.
10. Conduct forecasting.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Matric is essential plus a tertiary qualification.
2. High level of competency in English, both verbal and written.
3. 5 years of experience in bookkeeping, with strong financial acumen and understanding.
4. Experience in a similar position is a distinct advantage.
5. Knowledge of accounting principles and VAT.
6. Understanding of e-filing.
7. Working knowledge of Pastel Evolution.
8. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (intermediate level in Excel) and Pastel is essential.
