Job summary

Our client in Centurion, operating in the fast food franchising sector, seeks a Junior Bookkeeper to manage full bookkeeping up to trial balance for a portfolio of 6–11 stores. The role includes processing journals, invoicing across varied revenue streams, and weekly bank reconciliations using Sage Evolution.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of relevant experience and be proficient in Excel and Google Sheets.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or Matric with a financial management qualification.
• 2–4 years commercial bookkeeping experience.
• Experience up to trial balance.
• Experience in a multi-store franchise or retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Full function bookkeeping to trial balance for 6–11 stores.
• Prepare and process monthly journals and invoicing across all revenue streams (Cash, credit, Online, Mr D and Uber Eats).
• Import bank statements into cashbooks and perform weekly bank reconciliations.
• Process stock journals, call account entries, salary allocations, depreciation, and service fee invoices.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric)
• Tertiary qualification: Certificate, Diploma or degree in financial management.
• 2 - 4 years of commercial bookkeeping experience.
• Must have experience taking books up to trial balance.
• Experience in a multi-store franchise, or retail environment is strongly preferred.

System knowledge

• Intermediate Excel and Google sheets

Key Responsibilities

• Full function Bookkeeping to trial balance (Portfolio of 6-11 stores).
• Compile, verify and process monthly journals and invoicing across all revenue streams (Cahs, credit and, Online, Mr D and Uber Eats).
• Import bank statements into cashbooks and perform weekly ban reconciliations against Sage Evolution.
• Process stock journals, call account entries, salary allocations, depreciation, and bookkeeping service fee invoices.
