My Client, a reputable Law Firm is looking for a detail-oriented, motivated, and reliable Junior Bond Cancellation Secretary to join our dynamic Conveyancing team.

If you have a solid foundation in conveyancing or legal bond cancellation processes and are eager to grow within a high-performance legal environment, we want to hear from you.

This position is based in Pretoria East.

Minimum Requirements

  • 1–3 years of recent and relevant experience as a:
  • Conveyancing Secretary or,
  • Legal Bond Cancellation Secretary or,
  • Bond Cancellation Secretary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Resilient personality.
  • Must be able to work independently and with initiative.
  • Full-time | Office-based | 08:00 – 16:30

List Of Duties

  • Process and prepare bond cancellation instructions and supporting legal documents in accordance with the Bank's requirements and the firm's procedures.
  • Liaise with the bank, clients, attorneys, and the Deeds Office to coordinate and finalise bond cancellations within strict timelines.
  • Specifically managing the administration and finances of cancellation instructions by ensuring compliance with the bank's financial and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legislative requirements and maintain up-to-date client records.
  • Capture and update matter progress on conveyancing/ Bank software systems.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Conveyancing Department, including file management and routine correspondence.
  • Regular progress and update reporting to the Bank and Attorneys.
  • Accurate drafting of all documents relating to bond cancellations.
