Job description

We're Hiring: Junior Automation Technician
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 (Based on Experience)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a hands-on Junior Automation Technician to join our growing team. If you're passionate about robotics, automation, and cutting-edge technology, this is your chance to build and commission advanced automation systems using KUKA Robots, Beckhoff, and Siemens PLCs.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, build, and commission automation systems, including control panels, electrical wiring, and mechanical components.

Read and interpret electrical schematics and panel layouts.

Program and troubleshoot PLCs and robotic systems.

Perform metal fabrication and mechanical assembly when required.

Travel to client sites (including abroad for up to 3 months) when necessary.

Minimum Requirements:
Relevant trade certificate (Electrical, Millwright, or Mechatronic)
Hands-on experience in automation, panel building & commissioning
Strong knowledge of PLCs, robotics, and fault-finding
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel
Proficiency in electrical schematics and industrial installation
Skilled in hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
Ability to troubleshoot under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

Exposure to industrial automated systems

Prior international travel experience for technical roles
