Nationality: Essential: South African citizen
Qualifications:
Minimum: National Diploma Internal Auditing or similar.
Preferable: Degree (Commerce)
Preferable: Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) with Institute of Internal Auditors
Experience:
Essential: 3 or more years in an audit role with ERP system experience.
Preferable: Experience within the petrochemical or a highly regulated industry.
Preferable: Forensic auditing experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide independent assurance that Company’s risk management, governance and
internal control processes are operating effectively by conducting various audits in
line with the annual Audit Plan and ad hoc in accordance with IIA SA Standards
2. Produce timeous and comprehensive audit reports including but not limited to
findings, recommendations with proposed actions, action parties and timelines.
3. Track and report on completed audits and monitor the implementation of the
recommendations provided.
4. Actively communicate with Management.
5. Proactive in identifying concerns and propose solutions and improvements.
6. Report any constraints encountered during an Audit (unavailable persons, refusal to
provide data, etc.) and suggest solutions
7. Demonstrate sound business principles and basic accounting knowledge.
8. Participate in development / editing of internal policies and guidelines.
9. Actively study company’s internal policies and guidelines to determine compliance
10. Extract, analyse & interpret data from various systems.
11. Prepare reports on audit outcomes, trends or themes for presentation.
