About the Role

Our client, a well-established architectural firm, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Architectural Technologist to join their vibrant team in Upington, Northern Cape, ZA. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of architectural drawings, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support senior technologists in developing detailed construction documentation and specifications.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors to gather information and resolve technical queries.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress under supervision.
• Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building permit submissions.
• Maintain project files and documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
• Participate in design team meetings and contribute to technical problem-solving.
• Learn and apply relevant building codes, standards, and regulations to project work.

Requirements

• National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• 0-3 years of relevant experience in an architectural practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Basic understanding of South African building regulations and construction methods.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in producing technical drawings.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
• Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Valid driver's license is advantageous.
