About the Role

Our client, a reputable architectural firm specializing in high-quality residential design in Bloemfontein, Free State , is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Architect to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career architect to gain hands‑on experience in all phases of residential project delivery. You will work closely with senior architects and project managers, contributing to the design, documentation, and construction administration of a variety of residential projects, from modern single-family homes to multi-unit dwellings. The role demands a strong desire to learn, develop technical skills, and contribute to creating beautiful and functional living spaces. Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior architects in the development of architectural designs and concepts for residential projects
• Prepare architectural drawings, plans, elevations, sections, and details using CAD and BIM software
• Support the creation of 3D models and visualizations to communicate design ideas
• Conduct site visits and assist in construction administration tasks, documenting progress and site conditions
• Research building materials, codes, and regulations relevant to residential design
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and consultants under the guidance of senior staff
• Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and reports
• Maintain organized project files and records
• Participate actively in team meetings and design discussions
• Learn and apply firm standards and best practices in all aspects of work

Requirements

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
• Some internship or work experience in an architectural practice is preferred
• Proficiency in architectural drafting and modeling software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp
• Basic understanding of architectural principles, building codes, and construction methods
