Introduction

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Application Support Specialist to join our growing team.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support to users, generating and preparing system reports as needed, and resolving software-related issues.

You will work closely with support specialists and developers to diagnose and troubleshoot problems, document solutions, and maintain accurate records.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Provide first-line technical support to users via phone, email, and on-site support as needed.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot software-related issues, including configuration and functionality problems.
  3. Escalate complex issues to senior support specialists or developers.
  4. Participate in onboarding new users, including training as required.
  5. Investigate and analyze system issues to determine causes and appropriate corrective actions.
  6. Review and recommend improvements to systems and support processes.
  7. Document technical information and processes for existing and new functionalities.
  8. Assist with testing and debugging of new software releases.
  9. Generate reports and customize them as per user requirements.
  10. Stay updated on the latest software versions and technologies.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with users and team members.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computer software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license and driving experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with Cloud-Based systems and performance/risk management tools is a plus.
Package & Remuneration

R10,000 per month CTC on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of permanency based on performance.
