Responsibilities

About the Role

Our client is seeking an aspiring and dedicated Junior Air Traffic Controller to join their operations team in Stellenbosch. This is an entry-level position offering comprehensive training and mentorship to develop the skills necessary to manage airspace safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining separation between aircraft, issuing clearances, and ensuring the smooth flow of air traffic in a designated airspace. This critical role requires exceptional concentration, rapid decision-making abilities, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety standards. You will work within a highly regulated environment, closely monitored and guided by experienced controllers.

Key Responsibilities

• Undergo rigorous training to qualify as a certified Air Traffic Controller.

Requirements

• Must be a South African citizen and meet stringent background check requirements.
• Minimum of Grade 12 (High School Diploma) or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Pass a comprehensive medical examination and psychological assessment.
