Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a retail administrator in East London, Eastern Cape. The ideal candidate must have a Grade 12, at least 3 years of retail experience, and excellent customer service skills. Job description

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
  • Grade 12 with 3+ years’ experience in retail administration
  • Good computer literacy – MS Office, Sage
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport
  • Knowledge of point-of-sale payment types, e.g., debit card machines
  • General administrative experience such as filing, cash-ups, receiving cash, and reporting
  • Excellent telephonic and written communication skills in English, and good listening skills
  • Ability to deal well with customers and handle a fast-paced environment
  • Willing to work Saturday mornings, overtime, and selected public holidays (at overtime rate)
  • Retail experience in the motor industry is preferred
  • Vibrant personality and enjoyment of being around people
  • Stable work history and contactable references
The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:
  • Processing customer payments, receipts, and credit notes
  • Answering switchboard and directing calls
  • Processing GRV’s, GR’s, and inter-branch transfers
  • Handling insurance cover information
  • Filing invoices, credit notes, and related documents
  • Preparing payments and actioning order requests
  • Reconciling units issued and received
  • Compiling reports and handling debtor queries
  • Ordering staff clothing
  • Maintaining housekeeping of admin office and reception, including cleaning schedules
  • Providing general administrative support
Salary:

R8500 per month + debtors incentive + public holiday overtime
