Job description

SUMMARY :

Our client is seeking a Junior Administrator to assist with office administration and coordination. The ideal candidate will have completed Pure Maths in Matric.

POSITION DETAILS :

  • Reception: Handling employee enquiries, receiving guests, signing for parcels, answering and forwarding calls.
  • Registers & Maintenance: Maintain & update door logs, tag management, parking allocations, and general admin tasks.
  • Finance & Procurement: Petty cash management, office supplies procurement, shopping for supplies.
  • Training & Travel: Arrange OHS training, manage the Travel Desk (international and domestic), including flights, accommodation, car rental, and allowances. Log tickets on the intranet and prepare weekly travel reports.
  • Special Projects & Events: Manage special requests from management, coordinate year-end functions and events.
  • Maintenance & HR: Oversee office and equipment maintenance, maintain HR registers, track time and attendance, leave, sick leave, and collective agreements. Prepare weekly leave summaries and billing cycle reports.
  • Induction & Policies: Facilitate new employee induction and orientation. Maintain policies related to leave, parking, door logs, and travel.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent; Grade 12 with Pure Maths.
  • 1-3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Understanding of company admin systems, proficiency in Excel & Office 365.
  • Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
  • Home internet access (preferably fibre).
  • Strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and administratively strong.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Afrikaans.
  • Team player with a strong work ethic, numerical orientation, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure, proactive, curious, with emotional intelligence and learning agility.
