Job Description : Junior Accounting Assistant (Accounting Student)

Salary : R10 000-R15 000 CTC per month depending on experience.

Job Description : A motivated Junior Accounting Assistant who is currently studying accounting or a related field. This role provides invaluable hands-on experience and is perfect for an aspiring accountant looking to apply academic knowledge in a practical setting.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist senior accountants with preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledgers.
  • Support payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • EMP201 and VAT submissions
  • Assist with CIPC submissions
  • Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications :

  • Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
