Job summary

Spec-Savers Group is seeking a Junior Accountant to support the retail CFO. The role covers licensing and marketing fee calculations, weekly turnover reviews, and preparation of management reports.

You will assist with month-end close, invoicing to stores, VAT returns, and trial balance preparation for Execuspecs, including accounts payable automation initiatives. Requirements include a university degree and 2+ years in accounting, with strong MS Office, especially Excel, and good communication

Qualifications

• University degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in an accounting environment.
• Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare License and Marketing Fee calculations.
• Weekly review of store turnovers and average invoice values; obtain area manager commentary.
• Prepare management reports.
• Assist with month-end closing processes.
• Invoice stores for Leasing, Projects, IT and Marketing.
• Prepare accounts up to trial balance for Execuspecs including VAT return.
• Assist on automation projects such as Accounts Payable Automation using OCR software.
• Calculate store rebates.
