Job summary

Manuchar South Africa is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support day-to-day financial operations, including AR, AP, treasury, inventory, and general ledger activities. You will work closely with the Head of Finance to maintain accurate records and timely reporting.

The role covers month-end close, reconciliations, and statutory compliance, with opportunities to contribute to process improvements within a multinational trading and logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–5 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Experience with full-cycle accounting and management reporting.
• Practical experience in AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and month-end processes.
• Advantageous: experience as the sole finance resource within a business unit or in distribution/logistics contexts.

Responsibilities

• Record and process daily financial transactions across AR, AP, and GL.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and variance analyses.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring.
• Maintain ledger accuracy and supporting documentation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.
