Our client is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team. The incumbent will manage the accounting function for the branch

Location: Somerset

Key requirements

• BCOM degree in Accounting or related
• Additional qualifications will be advantageous
• 1-2 years minimum relevant experience in an accounting environment
• Proficiency in Xero, Quickbooks or similar accounting systems
• Working knowledge of basic supply chain processes including inventory, purchasing and cost tracking
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work independently

Key responsibilities

• Handle full accounting function
• Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries and month-end procedures
• Process and monitor accounts payable and receivable
• Compilation of annual financial statements
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Liaise with clients and key partners
• Work closely with the head of finance to support the division's growth
