Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant - Bryanston, Sandton, Johannesburg

Our client in Bryanston, Sandton, Johannesburg is looking for a Junior Accountant (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA) with completed articles and 1-2 years of post-article experience (preferable, but will consider candidates with completed articles).

Salary: Negotiable

Requirements:

1. BCom Accounting / Finance degree
2. Completed articles in (SAIPA / SAICA / CIMA) preferred
3. 1-2 years post article experience in accounting / auditing is an advantage
4. Proficiency in Pastel, SAP, Xero, or similar accounting software
5. Strong Microsoft Excel skills

Responsibilities:

1. Accounting duties and trial balance preparation
2. Assisting with financial data capture
3. Balance sheet reconciliations
4. Monthly management accounts
5. Assist with audit procedures and stakeholder engagement
6. Assist in preparing board packs
7. Work on forecasts, budgets, board meetings, and month-end closing
