Position Overview: As a Junior Accountant, you will play a vital role in our finance department, supporting daily accounting operations. You will work closely with experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing of creditors' invoices and debit notes
• Performing account reconciliations
• Sending remittance advice
• Maintaining accounts payables files and records
• Ensuring creditors contracts are filed
• Updating creditors Masterfile database
• Ensuring invoices meet SARS tax validation requirements
• Assisting in expense analysis
• Maintaining accounts payable age analysis
• Preparing payment files/statements
• Attending to and resolving creditors queries
• Supporting business units
• Producing weekly creditors age analysis report
• Maintaining relationships with creditors
• Managing month-end files
• Capturing bank transactions
• Allocating bank transactions to customer, supplier, and general ledger accounts
• Daily and monthly reconciliation of bank transactions and accounts
• Filing bank statements and reconciliations
• Handling intercompany customer invoices and loan accounts
• Managing fixed asset register and support finance manager and senior accountants
• Preparing financial reports and ensuring records are accurate
• Performing ad-hoc duties as needed
• Maintaining confidentiality of organizational information

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
