We currently have several permanent roles available at our offices in Sandton, working for international companies. We are seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join our client's expanding international practice.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and proficiency in QuickBooks Online, with a graduate-level understanding of a practice environment.

This role involves assisting in the preparation of client accounts, VAT returns, personal and corporate tax returns, bank reconciliations, and month-end accounts.

You will also manage client information, support client management through internal CRM software, and handle various tasks as needed.

Strong communication skills, teamwork, and efficiency in meeting deadlines are essential.

You will contribute to creating an onboarding process for new hires.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Accountant, you will support the financial operations and client management of our client's practice.

Your responsibilities include preparing and filing tax returns, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring smooth internal operations.

Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be crucial in managing client accounts and supporting month-end procedures.

  • Collaborate with the accounting team to compile and review financial statements and reports.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with regulations and deadlines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Support the month-end closing process, including account reconciliation and financial reporting.
  • Maintain and update client data within our systems.
  • Utilize CRM software to manage client interactions and track progress.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support operations and objectives.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a practice environment.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and familiarity with accounting software.
  • Graduate-level education in accounting or related field.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment & Requirements

Work on-site in Sandton and be willing to work non-traditional South African office hours.
