Junior Accountant

Join our clients dynamic finance team as a Junior Accountant, where you'll play a key role in supporting financial operations.

This position offers hands-on experience in bookkeeping, account management, data reconciliation, and financial reporting.

We're seeking a detail-oriented individual with a passion for numbers and a solid foundation in accounting principles to grow with us.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Support CIPC-related tasks and compliance.
2. Conduct site reconciliations and assist with cash flow management.
3. Aid in preparing financial statements, reports, and budgets.
4. Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
5. Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
6. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
7. Prepare journal entries and support account reconciliations.
8. Ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures.
9. Assist with tax filings and reporting requirements.
10. Provide support during audits, coordinating with auditors as needed.
11. Help manage cash flow and perform bank reconciliations.
12. Undertake additional accounting duties as directed by senior team members.

Qualifications and Education

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. 0-2 years of accounting experience (internships or part-time roles considered).

Preferred Skills

1. Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.
2. Knowledge of CIPC processes (advantageous).
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with accounting software is a plus).
4. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
6. Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Capacity to multitask and perform in a high-pressure environment.
