Job description
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintenance of accurate financial records in compliance with accounting standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
- Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Conduct audits and prepare schedules for audits.
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Provide assistance in managing budgetary controls.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve accounting processes.

Job Responsibilities:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Experience with accounting software packages (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Familiarity with tax regulations in South Africa.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
