We're seeking a driven Junior Account Manager with strong B2B sales experience in the food services or commodities environment (non-negotiable).
You'll manage key accounts, drive new business, and support sales initiatives across the Inland region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales and commercial strategies to meet Inland region revenue and volume targets
- Identify and activate new sales opportunities
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure loyalty and long-term revenue
- Manage and grow existing key accounts and prospect new clients across product lines
- Oversee forecasting and logistics collaboration
- Manage pallet movements with internal teams
- Ensure proper credit processes are followed and AR is updated
- Understand and operate within various business segments (Distributors vs Food Service vs Manufacturing)
- Coordinate trade promotions and events, working closely with marketing
- Use sales and marketing techniques to boost customer loyalty and enhance brand presence
- Negotiate B2B contracts, conduct competitor analysis, and guide pricing strategy
- Deliver market intelligence reports and customer insights to management
- Organise and participate in promotional activities, trade shows, and industry events
- Foster strong interdepartmental collaboration and partnerships
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years' experience in sales and marketing within the airline or related sectors
- Experience in the food services industry or commodities environment (non-negotiable)
- Previous experience selling fats and oils in a B2B environment
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and influencing skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Afrikaans speaking – advantageous
