Job description

We are seeking a dynamic junior account executive to join our team.

The ideal candidate strives for business and personal growth, possesses excellent communication skills, and is unafraid to present new ideas. An understanding of diverse business sectors across multiple regions is essential. The ability to meet deadlines is critical.

This role is within our FDC Connect business unit, which also includes a longstanding white-label partner, Black Marketing. These services are essentially the same, branded differently.

If successful in the interview, you will be fully employed by FDC, with potential branding as an employee of Black Marketing, working primarily with Southeast Asian clients. Further details will be shared during the interview.

FDC manages the LinkedIn profiles of founders, C-suite executives, and directors worldwide, supporting lead generation, personal branding, talent acquisition, strategic relationships, and thought leadership content.

Full training will be provided. Successful recruits will be trained to manage the LinkedIn profiles of senior executives, including board members, CEOs, and directors.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Operational
  2. Work with clients across multiple time zones
  3. Manage LinkedIn profiles of senior professionals (initially 4, expanding to 6 post-training)
  4. Conduct outreach, engagement, content posting (content provided), and other account activities based on KPIs
  5. Ensure a positive and professional client experience
  6. Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  7. Create personalized communication strategies for clients
  8. Develop clear objectives and strategies for each client
  9. Assist with challenging client requests and improve workflow efficiency
  10. Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve client success
  11. Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts
  12. Identify growth opportunities within our platform and services
  13. Manage onboarding of new clients
  14. Ensure timely delivery of work and meet deadlines
Role Requirements
  • Experience as an account executive, social media manager, or digital marketing executive in an agency or corporate setting
  • Understanding of personal branding, communication, and marketing
  • Proficiency with MS Office and Google Apps (Excel, Sheets, PowerPoint, Slides)
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
  • Understanding of clients’ business objectives
  • Knowledge of consumer behavior across markets, locally and internationally
  • Strategic thinking and innovative marketing skills
  • Excellent writing and content creation skills
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Research and problem-solving abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification preferred
  • 1-2 years of relevant work experience

Starting salary: > R15,000 per month, with a review after 6 months and potential increase.
