Job Summary:
As an Administrative Assistant in the JSE Sponsor and Investment Banking team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and operational support to senior bankers and the team. Your role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations, facilitating effective communication with clients and regulatory bodies, and providing support to the investment banking team. Working in a dynamic environment, you will manage multiple priorities with precision and professionalism.
Job Responsibilities:
- Disseminate regulatory announcements on the JSE SENS system in the required format.
- Distribute JSE communications to clients and facilitate regular updates, meetings or calls.
- Review and submit periodic reporting documents to the JSE, including financial reports, compliance certificates, and AGM notices.
- Obtain approvals from the Takeover Regulation Panel and submit necessary forms, where applicable.
- Coordinate communication between clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Monitor and track deadlines for compliance filings and other critical sponsor activities.
- Assist with client-related administrative duties, including billing, onboarding, and KYC clearance.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to senior executives and the JSE Sponsor team, including managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings, coordinating travel itineraries, and preparing presentations and reports while ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Maintain and update databases, records, and files to ensure data integrity and confidentiality, and process expense reports to ensure compliance with company policies and timely reimbursement.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Education and Experience:Post-Matric diploma or equivalent required; Experience in an administrative or support role, ideally within the financial services or legal sector.
- Regulatory Knowledge:Understanding and familiarity with JSE regulations and compliance processes.
- Professional Skills:High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and strong interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, effectively as part of a team, and build relationships with regulators.
- Organizational Skills:Excellent organizational, written, verbal and time-management skills as well as the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Expense Management – process and track Concur expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.

- A degree in business administration or a related field is preferred
