Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Jr. Sous Chef specializing in Arabic cuisine to join our culinary team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

As a Jr. Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in creating authentic Arabic dishes and supporting the Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations.

1. Assist in menu planning and development, focusing on traditional and contemporary Arabic cuisine
2. Prepare and present high-quality Arabic dishes, ensuring consistency and adherence to recipes
3. Collaborate with the Executive Chef to manage kitchen operations and maintain efficiency
4. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in Arabic culinary techniques and food preparation
5. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in the kitchen
6. Manage inventory and assist with ordering supplies
7. Contribute to the creation of new recipes and innovative Arabic-inspired dishes
8. Participate in quality control measures to maintain the highest standards of food quality and presentation

Qualifications

• Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution
• 2-3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on Arabic cuisine
• Extensive knowledge of Arabic culinary traditions, techniques, and Middle Eastern flavors
• Proficiency in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• In-depth understanding of kitchen operations and inventory management
• Current food safety certification
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are highly desirable
