As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will be instrumental in expanding the company’s online presence and driving lead generation through various digital channels. You will work closely with the head of growth and the business to develop, implement, and optimise digital campaigns that resonate with the company’s target audiences. This role requires a blend of creativity, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Digital Campaign Creation & Management:You will be responsible for building and optimising targeted digital campaigns from scratch across various platforms, with a strong emphasis on Google Ads and LinkedIn, but not limited to these platforms. This includes crafting compelling ad copy for their ERP/accounting solutions (targeting companies with 30-500 employees, R50M+ turnover) and payroll solutions (10-1000+ employees). You’ll manage campaign budgets, monitor performance, and make data-driven adjustments to maximise ROI.
  • Content Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with the team to create engaging digital content – from catchy ad headlines and compelling calls to action to website snippets and blog post ideas – ensuring our message resonates with our ideal clients. You’ll gain experience in content planning, adaptation for different channels, and maintaining brand consistency across all digital touchpoints.
  • SEO Support & Website Updates: Help to maintain and improve search engine optimisation (SEO), make the website more visible and rank higher in search results for potential customers. This will include assisting with website content updates, ensuring basic on-page SEO best practices are met, conducting keyword research, and monitoring website performance through tools like Google Search Console.
  • Social Media Management: Manage and grow the company’s presence on key social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. This includes scheduling
    engaging posts, actively engaging with our audience, responding to comments and messages, and tracking performance metrics to inform future strategies.
  • Email Marketing Assistance: Support the development and execution of impactful email marketing campaigns. This includes assisting with list segmentation, crafting compelling email content, A/B testing subject lines and content, and meticulously analysing performance metrics to optimise open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Data, tracking campaign performance using tools like Google Analytics, measuring marketing spend against key performance indicators (KPIs), and creating comprehensive reports that highlight successes, identify areas for improvement, and inform future marketing strategies.
  • Platform Proficiency Development: Working with core Google platforms (Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Search Console) and LinkedIn Campaign Manager. You will also be expected to learn and utilise other digital marketing platforms and tools as deemed necessary to achieve campaign objectives and stay current with industry trends.
  • Competitor Analysis: Conduct basic competitor research to identify market trends,
    analyse competitor strategies, and uncover opportunities for marketing efforts to gain a competitive edge.
  • Event Assistance: Occasionally, you’ll assist in arranging in-person events with the company’s outsourced partners – from planning and logistics to promotion and post-event follow-up.
  • Market Research & Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices. Proactively research and recommend new strategies and technologies to enhance our marketing efforts.
  • CRM Integration: Work with the CRM system to track leads generated from digital
    campaigns, ensuring seamless integration between marketing efforts and sales follow-up
