Job summary

Assign Services (Pty) Ltd is seeking a skilled Joiner/Cabinet Maker with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in furniture joinery. You will work in a fast-paced production environment, measuring, cutting, assembling and installing components using a range of materials.

You must have your own basic hand tools, be reliable and capable of reading simple technical drawings. Steeldale, Alberton travel will be required as part of this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Joiner, Cabinet Maker or Furniture Joiner.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, shopfitting or general joinery.
• Must have own basic hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to measure, cut, assemble and install joinery/furniture components.
• Experience working with materials such as MDF, melamine, chipboard, plywood, timber and laminates.
• Experience with hinges, runners, handles and other furniture hardware.
• Ability to read and work from basic technical drawings / cutting lists.
• Good attention to detail and ability to produce quality finishes.
• Must be reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Must be able to reliably travel to Steeldale, Alberton.

Responsibilities
