Are you a command-line wizard with a passion for performance, precision, and problem-solving? Ready to take your Red Hat Linux expertise to the next level in a high-impact, high-visibility role?

This is your chance to make your mark in one of the most advanced IT environments in the country. We're looking for a Red Hat Linux Administrator who doesn't just maintain systems; you own them.

From optimizing RHEL environments to automating complex workflows, your work will power mission-critical enterprise operations.

What You'll Do:

  1. Take charge of RHEL 7 / 8 / 9 systems: install, configure, tune, and secure.
  2. Own the patching lifecycle, kernel upgrades, and system updates.
  3. Troubleshoot logs, alerts, and performance issues.
  4. Drive high availability, disaster recovery, and solid backup strategies.
  5. Automate everything from shell scripting to Ansible / Chef / Puppet orchestration.
  6. Implement airtight security using firewalls, SELinux, and audits.
  7. Collaborate across teams (apps, DBAs, network) to ensure seamless infrastructure delivery.
  8. Proactively monitor and tune for peak performance and scalability.

Non-Negotiable Skills & Experience:

  1. 3-5 years' experience working on Linux systems, with solid hands-on Red Hat Linux administration.
  2. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  3. Certifications: RHCSA / RHCE (preferred and admired).
  4. Exposure to the following technologies is highly desirable: ZVM Systems, Red Hat Satellite, VMware, Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Chef or similar automation/configuration tools.
  5. Strong troubleshooting skills and deep understanding of Linux internals.
  6. Bash scripting expertise (Python is a plus).
  7. Familiarity with TCP / IP, DNS, NFS, LDAP, and networking fundamentals.
  8. RHCSA and/or RHCE certification (preferred or working towards).

Why This Role Rocks:

  1. Work with cutting-edge infrastructure in a high-performance enterprise environment.
  2. Make a meaningful impact from day one.
  3. Collaborate with elite technical teams on transformative projects.
  4. Be based in the heart of South Africa's tech capital, Sandton.
