Main purpose of the job:

The main purpose of this role is to promote and sell the company's products and services to existing and potential clients in the food manufacturing industry.

Requirements:

• A degree in Food Science or equivalent
• 6 months to 2 years of experience within a food production environment
• Driver’s license and own car
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; proficiency in Afrikaans is beneficial
• Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic
• Willingness to travel
• Mechanical aptitude

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct product application trials, including testing new products and developing products for new markets
2. Provide customer training and technical advisory services to add value
3. Perform testing and evaluation of products on-site as required by clients
4. Develop new products for butchers and large factories to generate new markets
5. Offer general customer service, technical advice, and support to clients in collaboration with the Senior Food Technologist
6. Provide technical advisory services to butchers, including consulting on product quality, production capacities, efficiencies, and implementing quality control systems to increase production output and shelf life
7. Research potential new markets and analyze sales leads linked to clients, reporting findings accordingly
