Detail :

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities across South Africa.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key retail and enterprise decision-makers.
  • Represent the brand professionally and credibly in all client interactions.
  • Conduct in-depth needs analysis and deliver tailored solutions presentations.
  • Prepare compelling proposals, negotiate deals, and close sales aligned with company strategy.
  • Visit nominated outlets and accounts in your territory quarterly (Call Coverage).
  • Achieve daily call targets and maintain an optimal call frequency with all accounts.
  • Implement the approved sales cycle plan, including admin and infield work (4 : 1 ratio).
  • Track and report on all sales visits and territory activities weekly.
  • Ensure cost-effective use of sales resources to maximize opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical support, and product) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Train and support partner and retail staff through one-on-one or group product sessions.
  • Gather and share competitor and market intelligence to inform company strategy.

Qualifications & Experience :

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, FMCG, retail, or channel sales.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and software solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident in presenting solutions and closing deals independently.
  • Must be PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with South African business culture and IT landscape.
  • Advantageous :

  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business Management, or Finance.
  • Sales certifications (e.g., Certified Sales Professional).
  • Existing network within the South African IT and retail sector.
  • Knowledge of local data privacy laws and compliance requirements.
