Responsibilities:
- Monitor departmental compliance with HSE cardinal rules and reinforce the safety culture.
- Ensure implementation of set SOPs.
- Report USACs, near misses, incidents, and injuries to the Line Manager and SHEQ.
- Inspect all safety devices as per PM schedules and keep records (E / Stops, speed monitors, rope switches, Castell key units, etc.).
- Adhere to LOTO procedures before working on any equipment.
- Follow and review risk assessment processes and inspections before shift start.
- Collaborate closely with the SHEQ officer on safety measures.
- Implement departmental baseline risk assessment recommendations.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Regularly check safety devices and maintain proper records.
- Maintain lighting to meet legal illumination standards through regular checks and replacements.
- Implement the 5S principles in the area of responsibility.
- Perform lubrication, cleaning, and repairs of tools, machines, and equipment.
- Attend to breakdowns and installations in real-time both on-site and off-site.
- Inspect and clean piping, check tanks, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as pumps, fans, bearings, and conveyance systems.
- Maintain plant equipment integrity at 97% electrical functionality.
- Ensure calibration of weighing equipment.
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report on the same day.
- Assist in planning maintenance and shutdowns.
- Manage spare parts with proper documentation.
- Inspect and service process equipment, laboratories, offices, and utilities.
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and ensure timely actions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Requirements:
- Trade Test Millwright / Electrical or related qualification.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in cement, tiling, or adhesives.
- Strong knowledge of PMC / Conveyors.
- Basic management and supervisory skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Proficiency in Root Cause Analysis methodologies.
- Experience in electrical fault finding.
