Job summary

A financial services firm in South Africa is looking for an experienced financial professional to maintain accurate financial records and manage inventory control systems. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience, proficiency in SAGE Evolution, and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines. This role involves general ledger maintenance, accounts reconciliation, and supporting administrative tasks.

Qualifications

  • 10 years' working experience required.
  • Proven experience with SAGE Evolution Accounting Package.
  • Experience working in a multinational company is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain complete and accurate financial records up to Trial Balance.
  • General ledger and lead sheet maintenance.
  • Account Receivables & Customer ledger processing and reconciliations.
  • Account Payables & Supplier ledger processing and reconciliations.
  • Bank and payment preparation and reconciliations.
  • Process monthly journals and adjustments.
  • Maintain fixed asset register.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end processes.
  • Manage inventory control systems and processes.
  • Customer Liaison for spares orders.
  • Plan and oversee stock takes.
  • Back-Office support and ad hoc administrative duties.

Quotations, orders, invoices, stock preparation and distribution.

Plan and oversee stock takes

Visa and travel planning and control

Back-Office support and ad hoc administrative duties

General Office orders – refreshments, canteen and stationery Requirements : Matric Certificate

Proven experience with SAGE Evolution Accounting Package

Tenacity and ability to meet strict and tight deadlines
