Job summary

BME, a division of Omnia, in Johannesburg, invites applicants to join a 2-year Graduate Program designed to provide unemployed youth with workplace experience and potential future employment within the company.

You will assist in feasibility studies, cost estimations, risk assessments, support senior engineers, collaborate across teams, and contribute to software development and data analysis for mining projects. The program focuses on building practical skills and professional growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of BSc, B-Eng Computer Science, Engineering ,Electronics, Mechatronics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in conducting feasibility studies, cost estimations, and risk assessments for various projects and/or software applications, toensure functionality and reliability,Assist the senior engineers with the planning and execution of software development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovative mining techniques and processes
• Assisting and monitor equipment performance and implement improvements to maximize productivity
• Assist in providing technical support to field operations
• Assist in writing and testing code to develop and/or improve software applications, this may include debugging and optimizing code to ensure it runs efficiently
• Assist in planning, analyzing of data and coordinating of mining projects, assessments as and when required
