Job summary

A leading organization in domiciliary care is seeking a Team Lead to manage and support care operations. The role involves home visits, assessments, quality checks, and supporting care workers, ensuring high standards in service delivery. Ideal candidates should have experience in social care, excellent communication skills, and flexibility in working hours.

Qualifications

  • 18 months of paid experience supporting older people in domiciliary/social care.
  • Full driving license and access to a car.
  • Ability to provide on-call support.

Responsibilities

  • Arrange initial visits to service user homes and complete agreements.
  • Undertake assessments and annual monitoring visits with service users.
  • Deputise management in the absence of the Service Manager.

Team Lead – Domiciliary Care

(Ref: W/TL/D/04)

Permanent

35 hours per week

Monday to Friday

Job Purpose

£13.71ph plus mileage & benefits

Primarily Field based Derry areas as required and Glendermott road Derry when office based.

  • Arrange initial visits to service user homes and completion of Service User Agreements along with the completion of risk assessments for and with service users
  • To contribute to the on-going assessment and review of need of each service user
  • To undertake and complete Quality Annual Monitoring visits with each service user
  • To check service user satisfaction by regular telephone contact
  • Deputise with the management of the day-to-day operations in the absence of the Service Manager
  • To carry out spot checks with staff and report outcomes to service manager

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of 18 months paid experience supporting older people in a domiciliary/social care setting.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
  • Flexible approach to working hours
  • Full driving licence and access to a car
  • Ability to provide on-call support to Care Workers outside of office hours.
