Purpose

Coordinate, execute, and monitor the preventative & corrective maintenance and repair activities to ensure that the facilities, machinery, power sources, and equipment operate reliably, applying agreed improvements to safeguard site assets, safety, health, and environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and support maintenance teams in executing and reporting routine maintenance activities, handling repairs of installations, equipment, and machinery (e.g., planned maintenance programs, shutdowns, or emergency repairs) to minimize business disruptions caused by breakdowns and malfunctions.
  • Monitor daily inspections of production machines and equipment, electrical devices, power supply circuits, distribution boards, control panels, pumps, lighting systems, air-conditioning, fire alarm systems, and spare parts to evaluate repair requests.
  • Diagnose & report breakdown problems to the department head.
  • Monitor the availability and condition of maintenance tools, stores, and equipment; advise on replacing or ordering new equipment and/or tools.
  • Monitor performance of technical service contractors involved in utilities and service operations; implement corrective actions if necessary.
  • Coach and develop maintenance staff to ensure repairs and service activities are completed accurately, safely, and on time.
  • Provide technical advice to maintenance and operations managers regarding operational implications of capital project implementation.
  • Observe and role model all safety rules applicable on site.

Academic Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Plant Engineering or Maintenance Certification preferred.

Professional Experience

  • 4 years of work experience, with 2 to 4 years in manufacturing plants as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in the consumer goods industry.
  • Up to 1 year of experience in people management is desirable.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in technical engineering problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Good knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
  • Proficient in Windows environment (MS Office) and SAP.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Basic knowledge of people management.
