Job summary

Rand Refinery’s SDI Graduate Programme invites unemployed Law graduates to gain practical workplace experience on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Johannesburg. You will engage in practical on-the-job training within customer-focused teams and exposure to corporate legal and compliance environments.

Mentorship and ongoing feedback will support your development, with work-readiness training and professional development opportunities provided to prepare for a legal career.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree or equivalent legal qualification recognised for registration as a Candidate Attorney.
• Eligible to enter into Articles of Clerkship.
• Eligible for registration as a Candidate Attorney with the Legal Practice Council (LPC) of South Africa.
• Minimum overall academic average of 60%.
• Unemployed graduate seeking practical workplace experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with legal research and document preparation.
• Support contract administration and legal compliance activities.
• Assist with reviewing legal documentation and records.
• Support governance, risk, and compliance initiatives.
• Participate in mentorship and work-readiness programmes.
• Work closely with legal and business stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate legal and administrative records.
