Job summary

CIBA Industries is seeking a Data Science and Analysis Intern to join our internal Data & Analytics team in Fourways, Gauteng. This internship offers hands-on experience with real data-driven projects, including process mining using Apromore, and delivering insights to drive smarter decisions.

You will assist with data extraction, cleaning and reporting, support dashboards and visualizations, and help analyse business processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed degree in data-related field.
• Exposure to real-world data projects or internships preferred.
• Foundational knowledge of data science concepts and tools.

CIBA Industries is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Science and Analysis Intern to support our internal Data & Analytics team. This internship offers hands-on experience working on real data-driven projects, including process mining using Apromore, and supporting internal business functions with insights that drive smarter decisions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with internal data-related projects, from data extraction to analysis and reporting
• Work on process mining initiatives using Apromore to analyse, optimize, and visualize business processes
• Perform data preparation tasks such as cleaning, transformation, and validation
• Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends and patterns
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards and data visualizations

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
• Previous exposure to real-world data projects (academic or internship) preferred
• Understanding of process analysis and business operations is a plus
• Foundational knowledge of data science principles and tools
• Exposure to data analysis languages like Python, R, or SQL
