Job summary

Qualifications

• A BEng or BSc Engineering degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering is required or anticipated.
• Engineering degree must be from an ECSA-accredited institution or equivalent qualification.
• Graduates or final-year students who will finish before employment starts are eligible.
• Candidates should demonstrate academic excellence in engineering design and analysis.
• Open to internships in power and energy infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design of overhead transmission and distribution power lines.
• Support feasibility studies, route planning, and detailed engineering designs.
• Perform line profiling, sag-and-tension calculations, clearance assessments, and loading calculations.
• Assist with positioning and design of towers and poles.
• Analyse and detail towers, poles, cross-arms, gantries, stays, anchors, and foundations.
• Coordinate engineering information from survey, geotechnical, environmental, electrical, structural, and civil teams.
• Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, technical reports, specifications, bills of quantities, and schedules.
