SUMMARY : Java Development Manager – Permanent – Centurion / Hybrid - R1.4m Per annum POSITION INFO : We are currently seeking a Development Manager to join our fast-paced financial institution.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in Java Development and team leadership.

If you possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and interpersonal skills, this role is for you!

Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Team management : Lead and mentor a team of Java developers Oversee daily operations and ensure project milestones are met Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs Project Coordination : Plan, execute, and deliver software projects on time and within budget Ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards Manage the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Network Management : Supervise network infrastructure to ensure stability and security Collaborate with network engineers to optimise performance and resolve issues Vendor Management : Coordinate with third-party vendors for system integrations, upgrades, and maintenance Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met IT Technicians and Support : Oversee IT support staff to ensure prompt resolution of technical issues Implement and maintain IT policies and procedures Manage hardware and software procurement and inventory Collaboration and Communication : Foster a collaborative environment among teams and departments Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to stakeholders Liaise with senior management to align IT strategies with business goals Technical Expertise : Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies Provide technical guidance and support to the development and IT teams Ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements Reference Number for this position is GZ.

This is a permanent position based in Centurion, offering a negotiable cost-to-company salary of R1.4m per annum, dependent on experience and ability.
