Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Java developer to own development within the Core platform and help grow the engineering team's technology stack. The role emphasizes Java, Spring, and modern cloud-native patterns in a banking-focused environment.

The candidate should have strong experience with Web Services, XML, SQL, and performance-oriented data structures, plus familiarity with testing frameworks and Git version control. This is an on-site Stellenbosch opportunity within the Western Cape.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years proven experience in Java development within an on-line and / or batch environment.
• Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
• Experience with Web Services, XML and SQL (MSSQL, PostgreSQL or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of data structures and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
• Version control with GIT.
