Java Developer

Our client in the Software Development sector is looking for a Java Developer (preferably senior) on a 3 months contract to design and develop solutions with Java Platform Enterprise Edition (Java 6 / 8 / 11) in an Agile software development environment.

As a Java developer, the candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of critical programming assignments requiring knowledge of established programming procedures and data processing requirements.

Responsibilities

1. Programming: Write and correct the programs according to tasks assigned by the Team Leader in a high level of quality.
2. Maintenance: Check and correct bugs/defects in existing systems or processes (solve defects).
3. Develop, test and maintain the deployed software, with high quality.
4. Analyse, maintain and enhance existing application and troubleshoot issues with efficiency.

Practical / Technical Experience Required

1. JAVA knowledge (Java 6 / 8 / 11 is essential).
2. SQL.
3. At least 6 years of experience as a programmer in Java.
4. Experience in the insurance/healthcare industry.
5. Experience within a project environment essential (this includes project management, analysis and design, testing and training).

BSc in Computer Science / Diploma / Oracle Certification
