What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications

Matric

IT Degree or relevant tertiary qualification

Java Certification (advantageous)

AWS Certification (advantageous)

Experience

At least 4 years in Java application development, with 3 years in J2EE.

Experience with Java Server Pages, Servlets, JDBC, Java Messaging Service.

Knowledge of tools like IBM WebSphere, MQ Series, Eclipse.

Experience with web services, RESTful APIs, relational databases (IBM DB2, MySQL, SQL Server).

AWS experience, scaled agile, GIT, Gradle, Nexus, JIRA, Confluence, microservices, UML / EA, and RCP experience are advantageous.

Experience with life insurance financial applications is highly recommended.
