IT TECHNICIAN – FRUIT PACKHOUSE – HOEDSPRUIT

Job purpose:

As IT Technician you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the sites IT infrastructure. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and excellent customer service. As an Intermediate IT Technician, you will contribute to the smooth operation of the IT systems, ensuring a secure and efficient computing environment for staff.

Responsibilities

1. Configuring, Troubleshooting and Maintaining the IT Infrastructure (Servers, Switches, Firewalls etc)
2. Configure, Troubleshoot and Maintain End User Devices (Desktops, Laptops, Mobiles etc)
3. Managing Office 365 Users
4. Keep Infrastructure Documentation up to date (Asset Registers, Network Diagram etc)
5. Ensure Backups are Adequate and Running as per Disaster Recovery Plan
6. Comply with Company Policies and Procedures
7. Good Communication to Stakeholders
8. Ensure Secure Best Practices and Access Control are followed
9. Ensure Tickets are Prioritized/Escalated Efficiently and Closed within Scope
10. Manage 3rd Party Installations
11. Off Season Tasks may vary from above
12. Updates on Project/Task Management Platforms are done
13. End User Cyber Security Awareness Training
14. Procure Stock Needed for Projects and Tasks

Qualifications

1. 3 – 5 Years Relevant Experience
2. CompTIA A+ and CompTIA N+
3. Microsoft MCSA/MCSE
4. Additional Networking Certifications would be advantageous.
